Description
A dozen years ago, I took part in a random social media beauty contest out of simple curiosity. One man left a comment: “bucktoothed.” I got upset for a while, because I was smiling so sincerely—I genuinely love smiles. But now it just feels funny. He left some kind of negative comment under almost every photo. This drawing is about bullying—how it often reflects the bully’s own pain rather than the person they target. And how every person is beautiful, especially when they learn to see it in themselves first.
