Since I didn’t learn to draw in my youth, I decided to express the aesthetics differently, by photography. Many years later I still shoot for a living and teach photography. Since the beginning of my photography path, I was attracted to medium format and its magic. After my first medium format camera – YashicaMAT I was drawn to prestigious Rolleiflex. At first, I got myself Roleliflex T, but soon my appetite grew and I switched to Rolleiflex 2.8C as I heard that this camera is ideal for black and white photography. And I soon became convinced of that. Rendering and 3d feeling are truly mesmerizing. My partnership with Rolleiflex 2.8C continues for ten years and I’m sure, that this camera really has a soul. Portraits is the area I like most therefore my lens is targeted to people. I believe my efforts and the authenticity of the camera help me create what is called real photography. But here you will see another side of my work. In it reallity fights with irrationality. Some photos is still life. Fragments of existence intertweine with the aesthetics of old film.
